you should've asked the question......... and then bought the cams. by the way, i've heard of stock h22 cams making over 600whp. i'd go with Honda over OBX myself. I'm not trying to hate or anything, but i just don't feel that cams are a very big priority on an h22 engine since the stocks are proven to make big power.

Turbo and all-motor are two completely different things. When going NA, stock cams aren't going to cut it.

Should of maybe ask first before buying....From what I was told about the OBX stage one they seem impreesive. There shouldn't be a problem with the stage two. Just hope you have higher compression.....
Remember you have to upgrade your valve train in order to run stage 2’s. I’m planning on getting some stage 2’s myself, but before I do that I’m getting the head ready for the cams. Post before and after dyno’s please!! Ill like to see what they can do, There replicas of the skunks so they should be good power.

If they are replicas should we expect them to last as long or is that a question no one can answer at the moment.Be nice to know that they're just as good so I can buy them before they boost up their price
Do you guys know if they are made from the same materials. Thanks

Stage 1 you don't have to upgrade...stages 2 and 3 you have too....I felt more power with the stage 2 (skunk 2) when I ported my head. When I purchased the Skunk 2 intake manifold felt more.... Then I felt it even more when I put higher compression.....You will not get the full potential out of a stage 2 and 3 if you don't have higher compression.......By the way how much are you getting those cams for....

Turbo artificially increases the volumetric efficiency of the motor, allowing you to force more power out of the motor w/o the cams becoming a bottleneck. N/A doesn't allow you to do that...
Skunk2 cams only come in stage I and II for our cars, w/ stage II's requiring a valvetrain upgrade.

it's probably a good idea to upgrade the valvetrain with any aggressive NA cam. cheap insurance.
the jury's still out on whether the OBX cams are durable enough in spite of their price. i've heard good things about the stage 1, but i guess we'll all find out in a bout 20,000 miles.

Matix is running the Stage 1's in his H22, and probably has over 5,000 miles on them by now I believe.
You can Fleabay the cams for $335 + shipping for either stage. And then you can get the RM spring/retainer package for like under $300.
I was (still debating actually) whether to get the Stage 2 OBX or the RM regrinds. I am just about sold on the RM regrinds as they seem to make decent power, and you are running stock cores still then. Not too mention you can get the cam/spring/retainer package for around $600 shipped (including your core charge).
I decided this really because I will upgrade to Jun later, so may as well get a good reliable cam now with upgraded valvetrain and then just swap out the cams later when I go big, and already have the valvetrain done.
If this is going to be your last cam upgrade, then the Stage 2's should be fine (as the S2S2 people will tell you).
