Bouncing idle (with corresponding "click" sound from dash)
Well now that it is 30 degrees here in the morning this has started to get really bad. I've always had a problem with the idle bouncing. For instance it would rev up, then drop back to normal. Or some times too it would drop really low, like it was going to die, but then come back up before the car even started to die.
Each time it does this I hear a "click" coming from the left side of the dash. Just to the left of the gauge cluster. Occasionally to I will get a CEL while driving down the road. I am not able to duplicate it constitently (the CEL). Any ideas?
This is in a 90 CRX Si with JDM B16A1 (Gen 1).

Found out some more info. So some what rephrasing my question. The clicking appears to be the main relay. Unlike the hundreds of other threads that report the main relay clicking and fuel pump not working at all, mine is different. My fuel pump is obviously working. The car starts fine and I drive it 90 miles every day with no problems. It idles like crap, but never dies.
So what could it be then? Fuel pump seems to be working. Could main relay constanstly go out and come back (see description of what is happening in post above). Is a wiring problem some where, maybe at the ECU?
Help!

are you getting a check engine light on if so? If so I had the same problem it was the idle speed sensor. Although the clicking on the relay I didn't have so I don't know about that.
