I have just purchased a 97 accord LX with 2.2 4 cyl. non vtec engine. I have checked two tanks of gas and 26.5 and 25.5 mpg with mostlly highway milage.
Speed of 55-60 mph. Does this seem normal or do I need some maintence to my engine/tires etc. Thanks

 

That sounds just about right, I get 25MPG (425 miles per tank) with my 96 Coupe 2.2L VTEC 5 speed doing most highway driving.

 

if you're getting over 300 mi/tank, just be happy with it. you're getting damn good mileage.
