FS/FT/WTB SOUTH EAST THREAD LA/MS/AL/TN/KY/GA/FL/SC/NC
i have a 92 talon tsi awd for sale. manufacture date is march of '92, which makes me think its a 6 bolt since it was made before the 6 bolt to 7 bolt changeover that was done in april of '92. 7 bolts are known to crank walk.
the car is black, paint is ok, not great, and is faded on the roof. the body is very good tho. no major dents or dings. just paint issues. no rust!
there are a few problems with it. first, the turbo dumps A LOT of oil into the exhaust, so it smokes A LOT. second, the engine will stall without constant pressure on the gas pedal. i have not taken the time to diagnose the problem. nor do i want to. the car does not have plates or registration either. it will have to be towed away.
the good: the turbo has a TD05 housing (interesting ). i'm not sure if its a 16g or if it's just a 14b in a TD05 housing. i also don't know much about DSMs or their turbos. it has drilled powerstop rotors also, in all four corners. it has a magnaflow exhaust, but i haven't looked under the car to tell if its just a muffler, or if its an axleback or catback system. the downpipe is 3".
it has a tan leather interior (front seats are cracked a lot tho), and 191,000 miles. high, i know. i'll post pics of it tomorrow (its dark now). i'll entertain offers of 1000 or more. the engine sounds great when you start it up. it sounds healthy.
the previous owner lost the title, so i bought it with a bill of sale. you can file for a lost title and get a new one for it. a new title in VA costed me 10 or 20 bucks, so i'm sure the prices will be similar in whatever state you're in.
