Default Anybody Want to Buy an Open Trailer?

Awright, I really want to sell this, since I have CFO permission to upgrade to an enclosed. Got to hurry up before the get out of jail free card expires.

====================

2000 Parker 2 axle open trailer. 20' overall length, huge 2'x4'x6' storage box at front of bed, leaving 14' for car. Plenty of length for something Honda/Acura sized. Or, the box can be ditched for a clear 16' bed, to fit anything. Beavertail, spare tire, wood deck.

Comes with bonus of a 10'x20' EMT frame canopy, with the conduit stored in PVC pipe mounted between runners.

Not pretty looking, but not horrible either, just a 5 year old open trailer that has lived outside that long. An afternoon with some sandpaper and a couple of rattle cans is all it needs. Low miles for its age(<10k).

Asking $1350. PM me, or email to robertjfoley@compuserve.com

The only reason she said yes is to get the civic out of the garage.

Good luck on the sale.

Don't you have homework boy? Oh wait, winter break, guess you're excused....actually that might have been a reason, but now that she's driving a one-ton crew cab with towing mirrors, her ride won't fit in their anyway.

BTW, trailer is in NJ. This was cross-posted elsewhere, and I've already been chastised for not saying the location. I'll try to post a pic.

If you were on the west coast, I'd PM you.

Good luck with the sale.

To all that asked, here's pics of the trailer, along with some remnants of a Home Depot project on the bed. The box is now marginally bigger, since it got expanded last summer to fit the kid's kart in on its side.

Just out of curiousity, not that I can afford a tow vehicle any time soon . How much does a traler like that weigh?

Nice trailer, but obviously it is no good if you are looking to go international.

I've never had it on a scale, but from other open trailers I've had, I would say box-less and PVC pipes-full-of-EMT-less, 1500 lbs. Those two additions probably push it to around 1900. The axles are rated at 3500lbs each. A little on the heavy side, but it tows rock solid stable, and I've pulled it behind an old style Exploder V8, a 29' Class C motorhome, and the one ton crew cab, with either the Civic or the Celica on it. A weight distributing hitch is/was a necessity with any mid-size SUV or 1/2 ton truck, but with the RV and the big truck I just used a deadweight ball.

4-wheel electric brakes, with a breakaway kit.
