Default 3rd Brake light

Hey every1, im a new user and have been looking all over the net but cant find any help. I recently bought a 95 prelude, but the 3rd brake light doesnt work. I was thinking it might have been disconnected because there is a spoiler light but i would really like to turn it on. It was a jap import so all the manuals are in japanese. Also i have checked the bulbs and they are fine, the light isnt receiving any power, and i traced it back to the real left tail light. Im not too sure where the wires go from there so i am stuck. Any info will be helpful. Thanx.

Do you have a spoiler? If you do, disconnect the wire (connector) and connect it to your third brake light connector.

thanx for the advice, but the spoiler isnt connected thru a connector, it looks like the wires have been cut and taped 2gether. ill try and find where the actual connection is, and replace it with the 3rd brake light. Hopefully that works.

If you don't know what you're doing, don't do it. You will start shorting stuff out, and that will get expensive. Get a multimeter and read a little about basic DC circuits, and then go for it.

Im not too sure where the light is actually disconnected form. i got a multimeter and tested the wires to the 3rd brake light, but when the brakes are pressed, there is still no voltage, but it is a complete circuit. If i remove the light and start the car, the brake lamp warning comes on. Does anyone know where i can get the wiring diagram for the japanese model cos i need to see where the wires go to?
