This stuff is getting out of hand..........
NASA fully expects to have all of the school groups full, having the Hondas there would be great. VIR always fills up. NASA fully supports the East Coast Honda Challenge, who will draw new members from the Honda drivers here, regardless of which event they choose to attend in Feburary. The more experience they get the better we will all be.
NASA's price for the event is the same as it was in December. Rosen Autosports saw an opportunity to help themselves by helping the drivers by making the event more affordable. If you think that's retaliatory, first read Marketing 101. Would the board have been happier if Rosen didn't make his offer???
NASA has an excellent safe program, well worth the fee. If you agree, come drive with us. If you don't, that's why its a free enterprise system.
But this bickering BS is just that. BS.

People, just decide and go, or don't decide and do both, but to keep making veiled refrences to displeasure is childish. If you have a gripe, call the person you have a gripe with and discuss it if you care that much. If not, drop it. We're grown-ups here. Please act like it.
It's perfectly fine that Rosen made the offer and you guys accepted it, more power to you! Thats good marketing. But there is no need to put that in a thread for another groups event, especially after it was made clear that the event was not full, just the discount group was.

I don't believe any of my posts said any of that. Nor Chris'. I am not going to start a flame war.
If that's how you feel fine.

I will not hint at a difference in instruction, I will shout it. Yes many of the same people instruct at both, but NASA has its own instruction program, written by one of the best - Dan Unkifer. Its his program, or rather HOW the instructors inplement it, thats sets us apart.
This is not a flame against anyone. It is just how I see it.
As far as safety is concerned, I can only speak for NASA-VA because the saftey reputation at NASA IS MY RESPONSIBILITY, and I don't take it lightly. And it shows in our safety record. And I'm PROUD of it.

[seriousresponse]I understand where Jim is coming from with everything. I also don't see how this can be resolved on this board. It is a heated subject that needs to be addressed in reality. Bickering on a message board helps no one - unless of course you are me looking for some cheap entertainment.
NASA has been running these events for a long time. They have the knowledge, experience and staff to back up their claims. Does this mean SpeedTrial is bad? No. SpeedTrial can speak for itself - as does NASA with their events.
If someone wants to not run a track event because of some bickering on a message board ****'em! It is their loss! I am there to learn and get experience. The more the better. If I have a good experience I will come back. If I have a bad experience then I am gone. It is that simple . . .
I will say this - don't judge an organization's quality based on what is said on a message board or by its price. Come to the event and experience it firsthand. Until you do you CANNOT claim to know ANYTHING about that group.[/seriousresponse]
I also like playing Transformers!
EDIT - Sorry Grumpy . . .

Jon is the sole employee of Speedtrial,
They are a California based company (from what they said last February). Don't know how big, but it's not a one man operation nationally.
And this one time the Decepticons had Optimus Prime surrounded and then all of a sudden the Dynobots came to save him and then the Insecticons were fighting with the other Autobots and Megatron changed into the gun and Starscream was shooting him but he missed . . .
