Apex'i Power FC
I did up a lot of reading on the Apexi PFC back when I still have my RX-7. I read the manual and it looked pretty easy to use. But however the only problem is it doesn't have any datalogging capabilities. There was software available that you could DL on the internet that would give you datalogging capabilities, but that was for RX-7's...I dont think anything exists for Honda PFC's.
IIRC the PowerXL program has datalogging capabilities, but dont quote me on that. And I think that's what tuners and vendors use to give you a starting basemap. Then you just take the car to a dyno and use the handheld commander to fine tune your settings.

That's the program I was thinking of. They make it other PFC models though, not just Hondas. It was made by some guys out of New Zealand. I knew they had a website because I used to visit it. I just couldn't remember the name of the software, hehehe. Check out their site:

I will post more information on the PFC here in the next week or two. I have a fully built GSR and I am going to use the PFC to tune mine because I got a great deal on it and I couldnt pass it up. I am looking forward to seeing how well this will do on a boosted GSR in a EG6 so I will let people know what I think about it

Don't expect to tune a turbo application w/ the commander itself. You MUST have the Datalogit specifically for Honda to tune. But you will still need the Commander as part of the package even if you tune off of a laptop. It's part of a series link.
Also, a GM 3bar map sensor is not used, so don't think to cut corners this way.
