Default Whats the metalworking eqivilent of a protractor?

Doesnt have to be too precide.. I am having a hard time finding something that will work on a 1x1 tube.. Any ideas?

"miracle points" will sit on the pipe and have a protractor built in. It's like a "crow's foot" but with a protractor built in, and the center point is a punch. I'm not finding any luck finding pics of one.

Also, if you want to do something like find points that are 90 degrees apart, get that ribbon that is used in the printing calculators. Wrap it around and mark where it meets. Then fold it in half, then again. This will give you 4 points on the circumference that are 90 degrees apart.

From that point, if you have the 4 points, you can lay the tape out and even measure between them and find points wherever you want.

are you looking for something called trammel points I am assuming you want to draw circles and not measure angles
there is a set made by General that will clamp onto a piece of 3/4" stock
there are also a couple of different sets made by a company called Malco
the tools I have mentioned are used to make large arcs and the minimum you can do with a set of Generals is about a 3" radius
