My friend bought a kenwood cd player used but can't get it to work because it needs a code of some sort. The stereo shops here in town require a receipt to get the code to reset the cd player does anyone know how to get over this? thanks ohh and it looks like it's a eXelon cd player from what he talked about but I haven't seen it yet. I had one a while back but it was stolen so I can't help him out cause I threw away my receipt.

 

Sorry to have a little bad news for you. I worl at a local shop and I see this everyday. You have to send it back to the factory for them to reprogram it for you. From what I see everyday you need the reciept and jump online to contact them and go from there. Good luck.

Actually there are quite a few people who know what the unlock code is, but we don't give it out either.

 

Ill give it out cause I dont give a ****.....Get the remote and enter KCAR.....I think you push enter after that. That is the universal unlock code, but the step afterward I dont totally remember.

Yeah I would like to see you go to a kenwood dealer and let them tell you to send it back.

 

No kidding there is a universal unlock code, I don't recall anyone said anything about there not being one. INTEGRAJAI was very very close to how to do it.
Who is to say that some people don't work at a kenwood authorized retailer. Even kenwood dealers probably don't give a ****, they will tell you to buy a new radio or send it back.

 

I am a kenwood dealer jagoff....And the Kenwood factory, and ALL the reps in the country are alot more than two people. Verified it with my Kenwood rep today, it is KCAR.
