LOSS OF ACCELERATION IN MY ACCORD WHEN I HIT THE GAS
Ok well im driving an 89 honda accord till i can afford a new car and I have changed the carbearator and spark plugs and cap and rotar and that seemed to not fix the problem so I changed the fuel filter (the small one not the main one) and that fixed the problem for a little bit but after a week it started to do it again...any suggestions on what might be going wrong
Description on what's happening
I start my car (I even let it warm up) Whenever I hit the gas it feels like its starving for gas cuz its hear it do nothing then catches and starts moving but if you slowly push down on the accelerator it doesn't bog but you have to lightly push down on it so it doesn't bog down I mean it runs and doesn't die when I stop just it has this problem any suggestions? Thank you

Nobody knows? Im guessing maybe the main fuel pump is going out or the timing could be off but ionno about the timing having to deal with it? any suggestions?
fuel line problems? try cleaning fuel injectors or old engines tend to do this...good question i dont know but id like to know! good luck
Is your car carb'd or fuel injected?
NM you already answered it
.
My guess would be since the car barely idles when the gas is pushed down faster I would say your carbuerator is in need of some tlc; sadly I know next to nothing about the carb'd accords, a site JUST for 3rd gen accords is http://www.3geez.com

Are you saying that when you slam the gas pedal, there will be no response for a second or so, then it will accelerate???
I am not sure on your carb set-up, but some models have an accelorator pump that fixes this problem. When you slam the gas, the carb will depressurize and cause this hesitation. thus the accel pump will squirt some gas in the throat to eliminate that. So maybe an adjustment on that part could fix your problem.
But since you did change the carb already... I would suspect the fuel pump is on its way out at this time.
