it will throw a code 19
i havent seen an ecu not run right with a code 19 yet.
anyway id just convert it to 5spd.

that's not the point, he sold me an AUTO when i wanted a 5 spd.... it says in his thread it's a 5 spd... if you paid for a civic hatch with a H22A in it, but instead you really got a civic hatch with a D16Y7 it still runs right? point proven

yea no doubt, in the original thread the first thing that the seller mentioned is that it was a 5spd. purposefully or mistaken, the seller took the money for a product he falsely advertised. that is teh suck. sorry about that man, hope you're able to get your money back, but it doesn't look too good for you.

 

you live and learn some asshead at the shop that did my motor swap pulled the same crap... having some break lines replaced and he hit and damaged my front drivers rim which cost about 180 bucks each -- said he would replace it and quess what my ticket for some stainless steel brake lines turned out to be 180 plus tax so image that -- **** heads deserve to be locked away but quess what you have to live and learn that shop will never never have any of my business again --- so just sell it on ebay for 60 bucks and live and learn...

Sorry about that man it says AT right on the ECU, and his post says 5sd. Remember always try to get pics of what you are buying that way at least you have seen it.

hmm, sorry to hear that happen to you. The ecu is the same ecu Im using with my h22a, mine came with my jdm auto motorswap. Anyhow even though it wasnt a manual tranny ecu, it shouldnt redline at 6500 rpm. I redline mine all day everyday at 7600 rpm. I dont know if thats the max redline, but thats where I take her up too. Im not taking side or anything, I wanted to let everybody know that just because its an auto p13 doesnt mean it redlines at 6500 rpm. Again it could be a bad ecu but its not because its an auto ecu. So the problem has to be elsewhere. Again sorry to what has happen to you.

I lived and learned too. I ask for a manual swap jdm h22, and after 5 months coming directing from japan I got an auto swap. But i made the best of it even though i had to find every little part to do the swap completely.

 

False advertising sucks, that is why I always ask for pictures before I buy anything.. On the brighter side the AT ECU is no different from the manual one and should still run your car fine.. Obviously you left out the part about what error codes you are recieving.. Fix those and then the ECU will run the engine juss like any other one.. Except for the 4ws code you may recieve since its not there..

Advan06 ( Bao Vu is his real name ), if you are this pissed off now, wait until you get your new p13 ecu and the car runs the same. You will self-combust! JasonKidd is right ( this guy is a legit HondaTech god, he knows what he is doing ), you need to say what error codes you have and start from there before just assuming things (and wasting money buying stuff that isn't broken).

A scammer is someone who takes someone's money and sends them nothing, why would I even bother sending you the ecu if I was planning on scamming you?

Plus, I sold it to you for $120 shipped (not $150), yes, I did buy it for $110 but I wasn't making any money, I think it cost $11 to ship it to CA.

I ran your ecu in an H22 civic for a short time hoping to get it to pass emissions. It ran fine but I realized I needed so many other things I ended up selling the whole car (and losing a lot of money, and yes, that was a dumbass move on my part). When I sold it, I put back in the chipped P28 ecu because it was faster than the P13, then I sold the p13 ecu to you. I also have a radiator and fan for sale but after this I will sell locally to someone who sees it in person. Damn! the other post Advan06 did on me had someone ready to blow out my abdomen with explosives!

As it says above in a post, your car should run fine with the auto ecu, and anyone with an auto prelude knows you can rev past 6500.


Again, what error codes do you have?? Do you know how to check them?

 

The point is you sold it as a Manual ECU, which it is not. You are at fault for this. it says AT on it in 2 inch friggin pink writing. How did you miss this ? what did you think this stood for ? You are both being childish about this. Stop flipping out, and come to an agreement. Its not that hard. Maybe refund him the cost to convert it to a manual ECU would be fair. Dont just turn the other way.

I am with prelude9999 in saying that your car will still redline at 6500 when you replace it. just because its an auto doesnt mean its different. Its only going to throw a code.

But still he needs to refund you. Now I beleive him that it was a mistake and sucks to be him. If I had sold you it I would be furious at myself for not paying attention, and refunded the money. But I wouldnt have let it go easy.

 

damn bunch of this kind of **** happening on honda-tech recently..people aren't actually being "scammed" but still some shady deals.. good luck Advan06 ..hope you guys work this out..

Lol..i dunno how obvious it can be. You sent him an AT ecu yet you advertised it as a 5-speed ECU. What kind of shady deal you trying to pull man?

He misrepresented his product. That simple. If he doesnt give you a refund (you of course returning the ecu), take him to small claims court. Id expect this type of behavior from a teenager but not a 31 year old. A shame.

 

how do i take him to small claims court? and who pays for that stuff? if he is found guilty of it, he'll pay for everything right? i think it's kind of obvious who would win so, prelude9999, you better give me my $150 back now.

WOW, you are really stupid.... admit to me you sold me the WRONG ECU idiot. be careful what you sell is my message to you. i dont see how a 31 year old cannot understand he sold me the wrong item? are you that ignorant? admit it was your fault and all this will go away. i want my money back, that's all. and yes i know how to check error codes. i've had many people confirm it was my ECU. i ran my friends P13 that he wants to sell me that's chipped and it redlines at 7800... it's not my fucken engine. it's your ECU. give me my money back
