Default any reason to pay my SCCA dues?

just curious if anyone can think of any reason i should pay my $80 dues for 2005 SCCA membership if i dont plan on racing this year. i didnt even do anytihng last year. i do have a regional F&C line, but i dont think ill even have time or motivation to volunteer this year.

btw, this isnt a whine, just making sure theres going to be any side effects of losing my membership for a year. it ends/renews in january.

You lose that number in line ... then again, please do so as the closer we get to 400000, the more experienced I look on paper

Phat is correct, the only real thing you will lose is your membership number which goes away after I think three months of expired membership. This is my 25th year as an SCCA member and my number is in the 78,000 range so I am rather attached to mine but if you have not been a member very long then it might not mean much to you.

Obviously you will lose your subscription to SportsCar and your worker's license will not be good any longer but if you hang on to your old license copy, whenever you do renew your membership I would expect that they might use your previous experience in consideration to your next license and not make you start from scratch.

I say pay for it. The more money for SCCA, the more support they can give races/series (yeah right ) You see what I mean though. $80 over a years time isn't bad IMO.

4 nice lap dances at a full nudie joint or 6 during happy hour or contributing to an orginization that does'nt even have, well considering the previuos they really can't compete
