So about 2 months ago, i was looking for a 5spd P13 OBD1 ECU. i came upon prelude9999's thread https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1042853 and saw he was selling it for $120. i was desperate and saw that someone already had dibs on it, and another was interested! so i went for broke and told him $150 shipped!

He told me it was a 5spd and blah blah blah, but it had 4WS on it. i didnt mind if it had 4WS, what's another socket gonna do me right? so i recieve the ECU after he recieved a money order for $150. I got it and i noticed right away it says AT on it... so i go do my research and find it's an AUTO ECU. a receipt was also included which also said AT.... it was even circled in BIG PINK MARKER... Well, prelude9999 insured me that it would work and me being a fucken nub, believed him without doubt.

That was a couple months ago....

Now that i have finished my swap, i come to find the ECU does not work with my 5spd and i am reassured by the owner and many other people that it's the ECU... I then go to prelude9999 to get a refund.... this is what i get... that fucken dumb ****....

1:44 PM 12/29/2004) Advan06: remember that ECU you sold me? it kinda red lines at 6500 rpm. you kinda sold me the wrong ECU saying it was a MT p13 when really it isnt. i just got my car running today and it runs like ****.

(10:35 AM 12/30/2004) prelude9999: I believe all H22's (auto and manual) redline at 7200 or something close to that. I honestly thought it was a manual, I bought it from VietboyJDM and was told it was a manual.
But that doesn't even matter because that won't make your car run like **** or redline at 6500. I ran that ECU for a short time in an H22 civic and it ran fine so you have something else going on besides an ECU problem. Maybe try posting your setup on the board and people could help diagnose it. I'm sure as you know with experience working on cars, you think something is wrong and it is fine and something else is the problem. You have to do careful diagnostics and zero in on the problem carefully or you will never get it fully resolved.

Again, many cars run like **** (and no wonder it won't rev past 6500 if it runs like ****) and the ECU's is fine, it is something else wrong (or a combination of things). And if you have a hybrid, there is a high possibility that some things wrong and they need to be addressed.

(5:51 AM 12/31/2004) prelude9999: Look on the receipt I included with the ECU when I got it, I think it says 5 speed. I assumed it was, VietboyJDM who sold to me must have been lying if he knew it was an auto. Or maybe he thought it was manual, I don't know.
Looks like you can still get it converted, or sell it and get a manual ECU. I replied to your thread, I will check that out.

awhile back you sold me a p13 ecu and you said it was for a 5 speed, well i ended up selling it and the guy (Advan06) wants his money back because it isn't a 5 speed, but an automatic and doesn't work right on his car (H22 accord).

So you need to pay him $110 and he can send you the ecu back. You probably know more about cars then I do, and it says 'AT' on the ecu, so I believe you knew this was for an automatic transmission, not a 5 speed.
