So I have had my R for about a year now and for the first time yesterday I saw another PY DC2R. It looked pretty crappy with the clear OEM corners, so I need to make a change to ambers. I thought I could live w/ the clears but now I can't stand them!

My car goes in to have the front facia/lip, lights replaced next week. I'm thinking the mounts for the corner lights are broken so I'm going to try and have the shop order the ambers if possible.

If this doesn't work what is a good shop that I can order from that ships wolrd-wide? Don't ask me to call the dealer, $hit is out of hand here.

Man its strange but all of a sudden I HATE the honda clear corners!!!

 

I've never really liked the clear corners on any integra. I love the ambers on my R and will never get ride of them. Why don't you order them from Len and have him ship them to you?

 

was there any prior body damage?

i suggest you put the ambers in because the clears have always looks bad IMO.

 

Clears look ok on black cars, IMO. They don't interrupt the black the way ambers do.

I may be a purist, but I do pay attention to aesthetics too. For instance, I went through some trouble to have my K1s painted black (thanks Bryan) because I thought silver wheels on a yellow ITR looked silly.

Ambers co-ordinate with yellow, so I think they're preferable to clears on a yellow car.

 

In Hawaii, the clear corners and Altezza tail lights are still running a muck. There is a really nice GS-R down my street, with Mugen MF-8's, VIS carbon fiber hood, Optional side skirts and front lip..lowered a tad. But god damn those stupid tail lights. It totally breaks up the cleanlyness of the car.

I dont like my clear corners either, but i dont know if i want to spend any money on some ambers.

Maybe if i get some very cheap.

Since we're stating our opinions I think the clear corners make any car look strange, especially FBP & NBP aaaRRRRRRRs.

 

I rock the clears with orange bulbs on my CW ITR. It looks good both during the day and at night.

I had them before, not so bad.

 

My car had clear corners on it, but when I bought it about 7 months ago from the dealership they took them off and put ambers on to pass inspection. then wouldn't give me the clear ones.

I have a pic with the clear lights, i liked them alot on my car. But o well, I will stick with the ambers for now. I would rather spend my money on performance anyway.

 

They don't look too bad on black.

I have no idea about buying from ebay since I never have. I always feel like ebay is a haven to unload stolen goods so I stay away.

First thing is to find out if the stock ones are broken. Then I'll call the dealer here and hopefully they will work with me. I called on ITR floormats and they wanted 330 bucks so I was like whoa, ya know.

Can't stand this look much longer, must change soon...


This is why the lights might be fuxored. Honestly this small accident my girl got into is a good thing. The lip was cracked from the 1st owner and the bumper had some minor chips. For 300(dedcutable) I'm getting new OEM front facia and lip...and whatever else is broken under there.

 

I didn't like the clear ones, because everyone and their mom has one. So I settled for the black housing ones with black housing headlights on PY aRRR. Looks just like stock but darker and soon to get a CF OEM hood.

you need to think about how much that is going to cost you in the long run with rate increases.It would probably be cheaper to pay out of pocket.

 

The software for my new digital camera is messed so I can't post a pic of the car but all I have to say is MR DC2 + Bronze Rota Slip's + 50 series Azenis + TEIN FLEX slammed for the hell of it + Clear corners = BADAZZZ

 

Aftermarket corner lights= money better spent elsewhere... but if you have to at least get something that doesnt look like *** (::cough:: the black ones ::cough:: )

I like the blacked out ones, that is what I have on my r and I love them and like the way they look
