Default Few pictures of the Kakimoto R cat back system

This is mostly for Ukyo but I guess everybody can take a look

A few dimensions for you:

At the cat conv. connection the ID is 63 mm (2.5")
The rest of the tubing is 67 mm ( 2 5/8") ID. No bottlenecks in the tubing.
The muffler tip is 4.5" OD. A little big for my taste, but hey... what can I do?
The total lenght of the ***'y is about 6" longer then stock cat. back so cutting is needed.
I have a few more picture of details if anybody is interested (inside the resonnators and muffler).

If you want other details now is the time while it is in my basement.

Please no comments about the different domestic items shown in the pictures (washer/dryer etc...) Thank you

JPP: Is that exhaust designed for N/A ITR of for turboed/supercharged ITR? It looks a little too big for N/A. Is that stainless steel? It also looks a little heavy, ain't it? IMHO.

Cut off the tip and weld on a smaller one

Looks good, BTW If your using a cat that bolted up to your Spoon header and USDM Exhaust then you will need a shorter version as I'm sure the kakimoto is Japan Spec which uses a shorter cat about 12"

B2FiNiTY: The exhaust is not intalled yet. The car is on four blocks for the winter. I will install it in the spring and will surely take a few more picture.

01ITR#950: That is for a NA engine. The 2 5/8" ID is ideal for use with a JDM spec 2.5" collector header and a moderately modify engine like mine (Toda Spec B). I beleive that a turbo exhaust would be more in the range of 3". Yes it is stainless steel and I don't beleive it is heavier then the stock one. I will weight them both in the spring to check

98TYPER: Yes I have a couple of picture of the tip. Actually there is really two tips around the outlet tubing. I will post them tomorrow.

TYPER100: If you want a close up of the litter box, no problem. I'll wait for my cat to do it's thing.

I will try the tip the way it is at first and see how it's fit on the car, if it's not to cheezy I'll keep it.

Yes it is JDM spec. I'm debating wether or not to cut about 6" on the first tube connecting to the cat. or cut the 2.5" cat. converter I have right now. Do you know someone that makes a shorter 2.5" cat converter?

I used to have the same chairs around my kitchen table until the wood grating starting falling apart. Now they are redone with padded seats.

Oh yeah, nice exhaust

Is the tubing size the same going through the muffler? It doesn't look as large as the B pipe.

I didn't measure the inside of the muffler's tubing. I will take a look at it tonight and get back to you on that one.

Will the Kakimoto R fit if you have a mugen rear sway bar(26mm). I think the exhaust pipe might touch the sway bar since the piping so big. Any opinion on this?

I would doubt it. Thermal builds a 3" system for FI and I'll assume it doesn't hit. You might want to ask this over on the FI board.

The Kakimoto exhaust is made for the JDM ITR which have 23 mm sway bar. I doubt very much that the exhaust was design to past only a few mm away from the sway bar so I'm pretty sure the 26 mm bar will clear. It is not very hard to confirm, just check under the car if the stock tubing is more then 1/2" away from the sway bar then it will fit.

I just check the measurement and the tubing inside the muffler is 2.5" ID

Damn, my Kakimoto R is the DelSol model, so the piping size is only 60mm, I wonder if it is too small for my B18C Spec B and Spoon header set up!!
