yeah I was planning to buy the whole JDM exhaust system but I might wait on the header.. u guys think the JDM ITR exhaust will fit onto a stock gsr cat?? if not how about a 2 1/4 cat with the stock three bolt flange weld on to it( thats what the muffler shop did on my car when I upgraded my stock cat.. just basically cut off the inlet and outlet on the stock cat and weld it onto the carsound cat that had 2 1/4 piping...)

 

Won't work without having to modify it. I can't say for sure though since exhausts on GS-R's from 94-99 and 00-01 are different, and you did not specify which year your car is. The JDM ITR header is longer than USDM ones. The axleback portion would fit though.

 

I have a 94 gsr... don't know exactly what year the JDM exhaust is...bump it..

 

I believe it goes like this

jdm itr exhaust = 94-99 usdm gsr

usdm itr = 94-01 LS,00-01 gsr

not sure if you guys are answering my question correctly&gt; I am wondering if a JDM ITR exhaust will bolt right onto a stock gsr cat.... maybe that'll clear it up... I hope it'll work but just want to make sure before I buy it..thx

isnt that the answer your looking for?

 

It'll work if you have a 94-99 GSR.

If you have any other teg you'll have to chop off about 5" off the midpipe and reweld the flange.

It will bolt right up

 

well i finally took it to the exhaust shop to get it done.. well it fit pretty well except they had to enlargen the flange holes on the JDM ITR exhaust in order for it to fit..so its not perfect fit.. other then that everything was smooth..
