Just because it's what you dont want to hear doesn't mean you shouldn't hear it, because it's the truth.
But in either case, people have had luck with both, just take the wastegate apart, and loctite it when you put it back together.

personally I'd run a SSAC bov because it's not as necessary for it to be precise unlike a WG. I'd rater shell out the extra $50-$75 for a real TiAL and have the assurance that it will work like it should at all times

i had the waste gate....other then being 35mm it was same as my new tial...actually used a 38mm diaphram out of tial in it when i sold it!..
I personally would use it, the external gate construction isn't as complex as a turbo construction, so i don't think much could go wrong except for a broken diaphram which could be real bad. Actually let me rephrase that i would use it knowing that i have my hondata boost limit set at 10psi so that if something does go wrong i will catch it, but if i didnt have the hondata i don't think i would be able to keep my eye off that boost gauge.
I think this all comes down to risk management.
Obviously you are having concerns about the reliability of these products. And if you are unwilling to become a guini pig to test it I say, take in account what the potential risks are and go from there.
A shitty BOV will probably lessen the lifespan your turbo, while this is not cheap it is relativly not hard to or time consuming to replace.
But a Bad Wastgate has the potential to cause great harm if it does not function properly and can set you back alot of money and time.
I say if you must try and save a few dollars. Get the SSautochrome BOV and get a Tial wastgate. And cut costs on other parts which isn't so risky to do so. Like intercooler or maybe a log manifold. While they are less efficient they will probably save you the extra few dollars you are looking for. And will be less risky to go cheaper on.
Either way GL on your decision and setup.

the way i look at it , if your gonna throw all your money into your car , why skimp on anything alex , your spending a grand on sleeves , might as well get the brand name bov and wastegate.
it would be better to use trusted products
I think it is better to use quality products from the start even though they are a bit more expensive than to save a few bucks at first and then have to replace the parts later (waste of time and money).
Tial products are bad *** and are not expensive.
SSautochrome has a bad reputation and most of their products turn out to be shitty, so why chance it to save a little money?
if you insist on using ssautoshit, good luck, but I just wouldn't feel comfortable with it. I tried one of their manifolds and its shittiness was enough to make me say never use anything they make.

you pay what you pay for is you want it buy it, if it makes you happy. remember a wastegate pretty much determines the life of your motor. just take that into consideration
I received the SS autochrome wastegate bundled with a turbo i bought from them. It working in my turbo setup, i had a few problems with the top coming loose during installation, but i was able to tighten it up and get it working fine.
I have the wastegate, I took it apart to look at the inside when I got it, then put it back together and have been running it for 6 months now, Never boost spiked yet. Works great

Yup. I'm planning on getting these. I didn't know you could get them as a combo for 200. Pretty good.

Its cheap 3rd world built **** built by pesant monkeys. It is a fact that they have poor build qulity in their products and use poor materials. Did you see the thread where the compressor of a SSAC turbo seperated?
^^ if u would of look what i wrote, u would know yes, i saw it come unglewed, i have seen there turbo blows, i have seen there manifolds brake, but now they are building bov and wastegate copys, are they any good? thats what i want to know

Ask the people who had their's **** up and overboosted their engines until they were expensive paper weights.
