Default distributor compatability on b-series (search server down, sorry if repost)

So I'm doing a swap today from an obd1 b16a to an lsvtec (99 gsr head, converted to obd0 on a b18a block).

I want to stay obd1 but didn't go through and get new injectors a distributor b.c I'm hoping my b16 stuff will be AOK. So yea... any problems with a b16a distributor on that gsr head? and problems with those injectors on that set-up? anything else I'm forgetting about the engine itself that needs to be converted?

Thanks much and sorry for the repost, I know it gets on people's nerves, but like I said the search server is down and I'd like to get this figured out asap so I can get rockin on this thing today

The post wasn't very clear, so we may need to ask some questions to get this figured out..

What year car are you putting this into?

Which b16 distributor do you have, obd0, obd1, obd2?

Which injectors do you have?

Which ecu do you have?

With those answers, we can guide you correctly..

Thanks..

Vtec heads have the same bolt pattern for distributor. If you are using your OBD1 B16 distributor on a GSR head, it will bolt on and work with no problems.

Most honda injectors will work in all OBD(0,1,2) fuel rail. K-series is a different animal. The only really different in different OBD B-series injectors is the connector(s). So, you can use your OBD1 b16 injectors on a GSR or a Manifold that bolts to a GSR head.

Now, GSR (P72) head have different intake manifold bolt pattern then a PR3 casting (ITR, b16) head. Your B16 intake manifold WILL NOT bolt to the GSR head.

locash:

I've got a '95 civic si with an OBDI distributor and stock OBDI injectors; I'm not sure the code on my ECU, but again its the same ol' stock one that came on eg6s.

The engine that's going in is rocking an OBD0 MSD distributor and some currently unknown type of OBD0 injectors (the engine was previously in a CRX hybrid).

From what turbogixxer said though, its sounds like I'm going to be able to snaggle rock all the parts I need from the b16a? I do have the stocky GSR intake manny, but I don't have the actuator for the secondary intake runners. From what I've gathered the car will just be slow because of that. I'm planning on converting to turbo over sumer, so supposedly I'll want to get a skunk2 intake manifold anyway?

Thanks much
