i changed out my fuel pump and was comparing the oem filter vs the one walbro provided and the oem one looked much better than the walbro, but im wondering if it was ok to just reuse the one i had on my stock fuel pump? it was like 30,000K old

i wouldnt....i would go to a honda dealership and buy an OEM one.

if the walboro one looks that bad and the OEM one looks so much better, i would stick with OEM, OEM parts are pretty awesome compared to a lot of aftermarket out there...which usually isnt typical for most cars, but honda, especially the preludes, use really good parts. Although the OEM filter looks good, doesnt mean he doesnt have a lot of deposits on it.

anyway...just my 2 cents.

Agreed buy a new OEM filter. Its not worth it to cheap out on somthing that inexpensive.
