Default Remote Oil Filter--Would it cause lower oil pressure?

Would installing a remote oil filter kit lower the pressue seen on my guage? When I was using the stock filter, my oil pressure seemed to be around 70psi at 70mph. I re-ringed the motor, and had a valve job done, put on a remote oil filter. Now, it is about 60psi at 70mph, and doesn't respond to rpms as quickly as before. It holds about 6 quarts now. It seems logical with the extra volume of oil and distance, but I just want to make sure. Thanks!

BTW, a little more info. It is an oil filter for a Ford 302(big). The lines are -10 SS w/an fittings.

I haven't seen it first hand but I have heard of it happening, especially if you have a turbo and a filter relocation kit.

the remote filter will give a little bit of pressure drop, iirc.

BUT you are using too big of a filter.

Try the mobil 1 m1-104 and let us know what your pressure is then.
