Default anyone ever move the alternator

i was tring to get this manifold:

but for it to work on the h-series we have to move the alt. ill get more info, but was wondering if there is a kit. i have no ps or a/c so there is room. if not ill have to get something fabbed.

you would have to get something fabbed....i doubt any1 makes anything like that for h series

I agree it will be a custom job just make sure it is not a mickey mouse job and make sure it is charging when finished.

oh no doubt, ill have my hands all over the fabbing. the reason i ask is cause this guy on aim said he seen a kit, but says he has to look for the link...we'll see. i also swear i saw it moved once, but may have been a custom job

Cant you just move it down lower where, i think, the a/c goes, make some little custom brackets and get a smaller belt?

ya i have to talk to geoff more, i may be in the way of the pipes lower...i may make a bracket to mount tot he ps spot...or maybe it will work better lower...or maybe he could mod the mani a little...ill keep everyone updated

i removed my ps, and relocated my altenator to here
been like this for a year now and only adjusted it once, never had any preoblems,
i used a custom belt

Im moving mine down to where the A/C is. Im havin a custom bracket fabricated but it looks like it should work wit no problems. I already ordered a 34" belt and everything lines up well. We'll see soon.

thats a good ideal my ac clutch when out about 3 months ago and i just byepassed it i might move it down there let us know how it works out

looks good...but why did u do it? and what bracket u use?custom?

i used the stock braket... i moved it there so i culd fabricate my turbo manifold, and so i fit a very large turbo in there, and my PS pump F%#Ked out so i took it out

stock holes line up w/ps holes? i havent had a chance to try anything yet? in theory me and a friend will be making something to mount down where a/c used to be. if it goes well and people are interested i may make a few.
