i just get tired of touching up my front lip, rock chips everywhere. I even got it painted once..but it still got scratch....what do you guys do to keep it from being scratch and chipped?

 

I dont worry about it. I like battle scars.

 

I have two jacked up front lips One of them has a crack which is about to be replaced by the other used one (only jacked underneath)

 

Me too...got a nice set of chips/scratches from Thunderhill Park and the local freeway. Not sure if that piece of rebar that I hit in the parking curb at school counts as a "battle" scar though.

That is the last place I would take something to get painted... You could probably do a better job yourself.

 

i too have the typical rock chips and battle scars. i'm also sporting a scraped/dented oil pan and dented headers.

 

My whole front is chipped and when it snows bad enough, I'll take the bumper off and drop it by my freinds shop and have him sand it down and respray it. Thats about the most you can do.

I did see a clear plastic 3 or 5 mm thick sheild for the entire front something like 500 bucks and it goes on perfect and has a preformed shape and cutouts too
I'll take a look and see if i could find the website again.

 

That would be great... except I was washing my car yesterday and found a stone chip <U>on the roof!</U> (just above the windshield).

Lots of construction on the freeway means my car is suffering badly.

The lip on my car was ripped off the FIRST day i owned it. The same day i bought it i got it inspected, they backed it off the lift and ripped the lip off. Never take your car to MR. TIRE!!

I have no type R, but my front Lip on the SI is scratched and chipped to hell. Still looks descent. Not in as bad of shape as Warren's though.

I'll be getting my Mugen Lip in about two weeks so no more worries about chips and scratches. That is until I scratch the Mugen Lip. I'll cry if i scratch that lip.

I know u not talkin. Your itr looks like 2004 model. Shyt still looks like brand new.

My 98r looks like a 94 model. I wished all I had was a jacked up lip. Ill trade that for several scratches dents on each side of the car anybody want those?
