IM DOING A SWAP FOR ONE OF MY COUSIN. I DONE MANY SWAPS BEFORE WITH DX AND SI HATCHBACK BUT NEVER A 92 CX HATCHBACK TO 92 SI MOTOR. WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES? AND WHAT ARE THE COMPLICATIONS THAT MANY OF YOU GUYS HAS RUN INTO. MANY OF THE CONFIGURATIONS ARE SIMILAR. BUT ONE THING THAT IM WORRING ABOUT IS WIRING. SO IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEA PLEASE HELP. THANKS.

ok first locate your caps lock button, press it down.
do not use it again.
as for the swap i have no idea. alot of people have swapped that engine so wait a few someone will reply.

 

it bolts right in, everything matches up, you can use the CX's axles, linkage, etc. find a 92-95 ex/si engine wiring harness, plug everything in, plug in the ECU and you are done. 92's have the vtec wiring already for the dash/ecu harness. its all plug and play.

 

 

im pretty sure the fuel systems on the cx is different from that on the si and dx

 

Im pretty sure IMO you have no clue what youre talking about (icyballa3).

 

the motor will drop right in, no need to change anything, its all the same, just get the complete motor, the cx tranny and manifolds suck! the harness will plug up too. look on pass. side plug orange/white, orange/blue, if these are there, it's plug and play
