Like the topic says i was driving home from my freinds house and at first i heard a low like screech and as the drive went on it got louder and louder and everytime i hit the brake even tap it the sound goes silent briefly...if anyone has any idea what this could be i would really appreciate it

 

brake checking? how old are the front pads?

 

sounds like it could be the brake pads wearing out..

 

And when i push down on the car when it bounces up and down u can clearly hear the sound...a better way to describe the noise is scratching a chalk board

 

sounds like u need new pads

 

feeler tabs on brake pads or new hub bearing, more than likely the 1st
