i have a b16a2 would a skunk 2 intake manifold make a difference by itself? or should i sell it, if i sell it would be $180

sigh, Does vtec being louder matter? I'm sure its better than a stock intake manifold. If you already have it, I don't see why you don't install it. It WILL BE better than stock.

keep the skunk 2 im. It is better than stock and the only way u can hear a vtec difference is getting after market cams i believe.

With nothing else done to his car, its not going to make an earth shattering difference. The only gains he will see will come 7,500 or 8,000 and beyond.. Which, with a stock revlimiter, means he will see gains for about 700 to 200rpms. WHOOPTY!

 

i was just wondering if it would be louder, the b16 is loud as it is with dcsport headers and just a filter, i like seeing the cops look at me when i hit 5500 rpms and it is loud as hell and they look to see if i have one of those stupid exhaust tips and it looks stock. i just wanted to make it even louder.

Oh yeah, btw, its a HEADER... If you want "Headers" you will need either a two piece design, or an engine with a "V" configuration.

The Skunk IM on a stock B16 will actually lose some low to mid range power vs the stock unit so there's no advantage to puting it on unless you run at least their stage 2 cams as well. This intake WILL NOT make the VTEC sound any louder, cams and an intake will have more of an effect on overall sound and pitch.

So wait a minute... You need to run at LEAST Skunk2 stage 2's to use the skunk2 intake manifold? I haven't heard anything so assanying in a while... This comming from he who has the intake manifold listed in his mod list as well as skunk2 stage 1's (CTR cams).
