Are the Rota Circuit 8 Wheels THIS Bad?
THE WHEEL PICTURED IS NOT A ROTA WHEEL. IT IS AN ADR SPIDER, WHOSE DESIGN IS SIMILIAR ENOUGH TO THE ROTA CIRCUIT 8 TO MAKE ME ASK THE QUESTIONS BELOW. DID I MENTION IT'S NOT A ROTA WHEEL?
Holy ****! I'm the BIGGEST anti-Rota topic person here, and hell I OWN some Circuit 8 wheels, but to me this is a SAFETY issue now.
Has ANYONE had any trouble out of their Circuit 8's like this:

Holy ****! I know the design is SIMILIAR, but are they close enough to be worried about breaking a wheel here?
Thanks for the input, and again very sorry for yet another Rota topic, but this ain't your average "Post Pics of Rota Whatevers on Car X."

I remember seeing that pic before. I believe it was an accident of some sort (i.e. hit a curb at high speed or something to that effect). Not just some pothole, I recall it was something pretty extreme that caused that. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
i think have seen that pic, or one similar, before. Personally i think that it could be four different things:
1. somebody had some shitty luck with Rota wheels
2. it was the drivers fault
3. its not a rota
4. its a chop.
personally i dont think that the manufactuer could be at fault here. Look at the break, the whole inside of the wheel came off at the exact same spot on all spokes?? This would surprise me with any manufactuer, not just rota. Looks like it is either user error or a chop.
And lets say it was the company, im sure it was an isolated incident

that's fukngsr's car, and its not a rota.
its an adr spider wheel or something if i recall, adr all i can remember.
also, rota is iso certified, which isn't an easy thing to come by.

It is a reason not to buy that brand of wheels. Rota is ISO9001 Certified, which conforms to the big 3 auto makers standards. If it is good enough for the big 3, then it is good enough for me.
Yeah, I thought I made it clear enough that that was NOT a Rota, but I didn't.
So NO problems like the ADR Spiders out of Rota?

From the looks of the damage done, I am not sure what lightweight rim would withstand that. Anyway, I plan on going with Rota and have not heard or seen anything like that from a Rota wheel.
I have not heard of any broken ROTAs.
ARGH!, those ADR spiders in that pic are a model that ADR discontinued a long time ago.... and I can see why!!!!!
I am positive that if a ROTA did this anytime soon or in the near future that some of the members in the "SPOON LOVERS-ROTA HATERS he man club" would post it all over the internet and we would be aware of it in seconds. 100% positive they would let us know.. dontcha think?
their Spoon/Desmond resale value would increase alot if ROTA was proven shoddy.

No that wasn't from an accident. I read that post recently and I think that happened to the wheel, whiched caused him to oversteer, and turn left, into a curb. I can't seem to find the thread now to link tho. Sorry.
AS STATED ABOVE THE WHEEL PICTURED IS NOT A ROTA PRODUCT!
It is an ADR Spider. That's why I started this thread - I own a set of Bronze Circuit 8's and I want to know if anyone on C8's have had any SIMILIAR experinces as seen above on this ADR wheel.

Holy **** how may times will i have to repost that they are indeed NOT Rotas NOR are those Rota centercaps?
my cousin's stupidass did that....he was speeding, then drifted into a practically 180 degree turn. Hit a curb and broke his 5zigen 5ZR and his hub assembly

. Who's ride is that?
