90 psi measured from where, at what rpm, and at what engine temperature?

well thats the thing, oil presure is rpm dependent, if you could tell me what rpm you hae 90psi of oil presure then i can tell you if its a good or bad thing,

and do not go by the stock temprature gauge, what you should do is let the car run until the radiator fans kick on once, and then take your oil presure reading.

ok well oil presure at idle if you have 10w-30 for oil and are runing a normal oil filter , and the car is warmed up indicated by the fans turning on.

for my car which is also a vtec i have about 10-15psi at idle and maybe 60-70 psi when approching redline

i would only ever see a 90 psi spike if i was reving my car when it was just started, with the oil cold

well 170 at the wheels is alittle less than whati would expect from the stock vtec prelude, so if he is tuned and has many mods, then its just a fact, your in a heavy *** prelude, and he is in a light civic hatch with 170 wheel horse

to be sure thought, i would take your car to a dyno that also offers wideband, and get a couple of dyno pulls with wideband readings..

also do you have any check engine lights?

well dont have any engine light. but i am asking that why my car is slower than the other ludes. the stock power of lude is 190 hp and why i am getting beated by an crx with 170 atw. WHy is my car not faster than the other ludes or why isnt it a competition.i think i have my prelude like 70 to 60 hp less and it should be more

Here's a phrase I want you to look up:

sounds like you've got some tuning issues.

a stock h22 prelude is about 165 at the wheels as i said, and your friend has 170atw , now the difference is the weight, your prelude is heavy

you sould check to make sure your check engine light bulb is not burnt out, it should come on for a second when you first turn the ignition on

if you're reading 90 psi at idle sounds like you have some serious blow-by issues and that would definitely cause your car to be slow
