Default help with identifying name of this sensor..

hey i need to know what to call this sensor because im gonna run to autozone and see how much they cost. its the towards the top of the hood on the throttle body. my idle is all screwy and that seems to be the problem. if anyone knows the approx. costs right off hand that would be great too. thanks.

The one on top of the throttle body is the map sensor but I dont think thats your problem. Your problem might be the TPS sensor which is on the back side towards the firewall of your car. Dont know how much it costs new either

i dont have a CEL. the only thing is surging idle from 1k to 2k non stop. like that whether it is warm or not.

its your fast idle thermal valve...do a search theres tons of info on it. it's a common problem on hondas.

TPS sensors hardly ever go bad, same with map sensors.

idle problem is better but not fixed. how far do i screw the fitv in? i screwed it until i could see those holes on the inside. i didnt want to force it. but now it idles from 1k to 1.5 k vs the 1k-2k its barely noticeable. i cleaned the screen on the iacv too. im gonna put a new tb gasket in and see if the problem will get solved
