safe boost for bone stock motor?
if i ran a safe amount of boost on a stock motor, would i need to mod other parts of the car so that they wont break?

I know someone who had his car totally stock except for some underdrive pulley, or was it cam sprockets, regardless, he slapped on a turbo and his car was decently quick...i guess the trick is not to dog it out!

 

it really depends on your tunning, mainly your fuel management. there is a guy on here running 11psi on a stock motor. im going to be running 14 psi but i plan to have it fully tunned for that.

most turbo kits come with a fmu for fuel management, which is good for around 7-8 psi, which is super safe. if u wish to do more psi u just have to get a better management.

 

where would you reccommend looking to learn how to tune a car for someone who knows nothing about fuel maps, etc...?
