Default HID setup/housing compatability question

This is already in appearance but i'm hoping someone might now a bit about the lighting setup here...

I'm planning on transfering over my HID system to my new car when I get it in a few years. I want an H4 in the Civic and I have a 9006 in my Accord currently. The bulbs are held in by screws in the accord. Since you just remove the housing and wiring anyway, do you have to buy the exact kit to fit? I mean could I buy an H4 bulb and just screw it into my accord housing instead of the normal 'twist and pull'? Or is the wiring particular for a 9006 and not just any HID kit can be used?

I know H4's are low/highs and 9006 are lows, but would that matter if i'm just using them in the Accord for the time being?

the H4 has a sheild under the bulb, the 9006 does not. The focal point is also different.

I guess i wouldnt be able to just cut the wires and make my own harness out of all this then? I was worried the combo of low and high would be too much...
