what kind of intake should i get for my rsx 05 auto
what would be the best kind cold air or short ram
and does the intake save car milege or gas

there is no best really but AEM and injen are really good. As for gas saving, it depends on how your drive. if you mash the pedal all the time then you won't get good fas mileage with a intake.

I don't think people install intakes to save gas. I think intake allows more air to enter your engine thus creating more power, but honestly I think it's more for loud engine sound than anything.

what kind of environment do you live in?

Also, different intakes have different characteristics..

(Correct me if I'm wrong)..I believe CAI are more high end power, and Short Ram are midrange power. That might be vise versa though, someone that knows a bit more could enlighten you better as to which does which..

As far as the envrionment question: If you live in a rainy envrionment I highly suggest the short ram, but if you really want CAI for high end (assuming I'm right)..DEFINATELY get the AEM with the bypass valve and remember: if you go through a puddle with the bypass valve, while you won't hydrolock your motor, you should probably pull over and tap the intake to help the water drain from it.
