I need some speakers for the front and rear of my car both are 5.25". I have some polk DB right now but they don't seem to have any bass. If anyone knows any good 5.25" speakers let me know. My price range is between 50-120, also if I can get them from frys I get 50% off so I can go a little higher on the price.

in my 90 integra im running 4 alpine 6 1/2 type s speakers. they fit perfectly and they have decent bass and some nice highs for either rock or rap music.

 

Really? I didn't think 6 1/2 would fit.. So they fit in the rear and the door? If I can get some 6 1/2 I might just go with focal or diamond. I've heard descent things about both of those.

 

in the fronts.... it was no problem. but in the rear, i had to play around with the plastic brackets that alpine gave me. after some cutting and drilling the brackets made the speakers fall right into place. the only thing that sucked was the fact that one of the two screws that hold in the cover for the speakers didnt line up. but after everything was installed, it wasnt even a problem.

 

correct me if im wrong, but 5 1/4's and 6 1/2's shouldn't be putting out bass at all...unless well you're using them as your subs?! Mainly i use the 5 1/4's or 6 1/2's as my mids and highs with bass blockers...

 

with my alpine deck, the alpine type s speakers do push bass.... but not alot. its enough to get me by.
