no fuses are blown. the reverse and brake lights work fine. I have a severed harness down to the front marker light. its cut clean. could that be the problem? if it was shorting out then wouldn't a fuse blow? any thoughts that would help me track down the problem?

have you tried taping off the severed wires to see if the tails would work? cuz if it's shorted, it might be taking all of the power from the tails.
