OT: New "Corvette" Uncle just bought one, sent me email to rub it in.
Since I've seen several topics over the past couple weeks for the new Corvette I figured it wouldn't hurt to share.
I get an email this morning from my Uncle who lives in Malibu. A brief background on this man, he's a business broker who basically buys and sells businesses for major profit. He's also a very big car guy and has been to just about every reputable car driving school in the nation, some several times over. His poison? He's owned at one time or another almost every Corvette, stock and modified ever made.
So I get this email from him about how he took his new "Vette" to the track and how he thoroughly kicked the **** out of everyone in his class with it. What is funny is that the baller in him did it on 20" chrome TSW's with street tires. What is even funnier is that he thoroughly kicked the **** out of everyone on 20" chrome TSW's.
To make a long story short here are some pictures of the "Vette". The all new 2005 Cadillac CTS-V. Current modifications are his wheels, full racing exhaust and K&N intake system. Enjoy.

Specs include:
1) 5.7LS6 V8 engine @ 500hp
2) TREMEC T56 6speed Manual Transmission
3) Brembo Brakes w/14in. Rotors
4) Performance Tuned Suspension
5) Bling-a-*******-licious
Aloha,
Brandon

Friend of mine traded his Z06 on a CTS-V. He also traded a beautiful 2004 Silverado 2500HD Diesel (with Banks power pack) on a used Avalanche because "glow plugs take too long to warm up."
Yes, he has more money than sense

I agree. I was more or less commenting on the bling factor of the car as a whole. At any rate, next time I see him I'm going to give him a hefty amount of **** about those fricking wheels.

Drove a CTS V about a month ago. What fun!! The shifter is a little sloppy, but all else is very, very good. Salesman's ******* left pucker marks in the pass seat.
If (BIG if) this car is this tight after 50k miles, GM has finally built a car worth mentioning in the same sentence with BMW.
My mom got a new STS V6 and it is pretty impressive too (minus about 150 hp of course!).
