A bunch of noob prelude questions
I was searching through spec threads and really coundlt find the info i needed.
Up the street from me is a 91 Prelude Si with 150k bone stock. I could take it free if i wanted to. My question is this:
Would the lude's b20a1 be better then my f22a1 accord? Both are auto and the accord has 125k while the lude has 150k.
And: The lude will not start, reason im pretty much getting it. New alternator, new battery, and even after a jumpstart will not turn. Help?
TIA all

the f20a1 is a royal turd -- dump it quick and put in a f22a or maybe even save your pennies up for a H22a swap -- preludepower.com has several 3rd gen h22s
the b20 or whatever it is called is a bored out 2.01 litre SI engine only came on the 1991 si preludes usdm market.. the ludes before that had 2 litre engines. I owned a 1991 brown prelude si and the 2.01 engine again is a POS -- You will be putting in as much oil as you do gas.
Just because your 2.0 had oil problems doesnt mean this one will. in fact, its been daily driven and no problems have come to face yet (besides the obvious power issues which are usually easy to fix)
oh ok then drive away and why ask if you already know the question you need to learn how to use this function well...

Holy **** chill out. I used search, as I previously stated. I just wanted to know if the lude would be better performance wise then the f22a1 from my 91 LX accord. Not that your prelude had oil problems.
The 4th and 5th gen Accords will be more practical, better on insurance, and have more luxury to them. They will also accept the H series engines ALOT better (direct swap) than the 3rd gen Prelude. The Accord Chassis is the same as the 4th gen Prelude, so handling will be the same (with comparable modifications), and I think the styling is alot better than the 3rd gen lude.
It all depends on what you wanna use the car for. I picked the Accord because of not only the above reasons, but I go on long trips with the car and it's my daily driver, so it is well suited for my needs, plus I'm a big guy (6'3''), so the head and leg room is perfect...
I've driven many Preludes, and don't get me wrong, they are excellent cars, and very fun and sporty to drive, but they just don't have the room nor driveability that I require...

The f22a1 is much better than the b-series motors they put in 3rd gen ludes.

Have you ever driven a 4th gen lude?
I'm 6'5 and I can stretch my legs out all the way. w

Only the 2.1 litre version, the 2.0 is fine.
