Is my car really a Vtec or not help
The stickers are saying Vtec, but when test drove the car it didnt feel like a vtec i mean it pulls but not this pull everyone talks about.
Also my car does not have a spoiler i thought all vtecs had spoilers and leather.
I just bought a 99 Prelude *so called vtec* everything include, power mirrors, doors sunroof, but theres no leather or spoiler, and stickers displaying Vtec so and the engine says DOHC so.. am i right is or no?

It's a VTEC, but if somethings wrong, VTEC won't engage and the rev limiter should kick on at 6500 or so. ~6400... 6500... 6800~

ALL I GOT to say is that all 5th gen ludes are vtec. you have a 5th gen lude. the leather is an optional eqiupment that some honda dealers offer., the key word is some. and as for the factory spoiler, it is also optional as well for an extra 400 from honda. IF YOU BOUGHT it 2nd hand from a NON car dealership and that person who sold it to you took the time to swap out the engine for some other engine such as a h23a or even the f22 engine you can also look at the engine code on the block. ALL 5th gen ludes have H22A4 stamped on it also if you just started up the car and try to engage in vtec the proper oil pressure is not there if you havent warmed it up. just go but an intake and wait for 5500 rpms to hitt when your car has been warmed up. and you can hear it. WHEN vtec engages its going to be all of the sudden but its NOT GOING TO PULL LIKE A CAR WITH NOS LIKE THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS. i think i answered your question. have fun with vtec.
just put an intake on it.. it will be very obvious to you then.
VTEC isn't going to make you loose traction when it kicks in in 4th gear or anything....
