Got my gsr swap today.. new years gift..
Im picking up a usdm gsr today with skunk2 intake manifold and everything else is stock. tonight.. only problem is the car is a 97 so its obd2 im going to drop it in my eg hatch..
does anyone have any warnings for me.. I know i need an obd1 ecu.. for sure but what about everything else..
o yea and i have like almost a complete gsr body to part out as well.. if anyone needs anything pm me.. with details of what u want from it.. only thing not good is the front end.

i have wired vtec before for when i did my ... sohc vtec zc motor.. and it wasnt that hard.. it may be harder on the dual cam motor though. i dont have a conversion harness more looking towards getting another ecu or chipping the ls one i have maybe.
On my hatch I had to switch a few things with the MAP sensor but mine is an LS.
On my hatch the map sensor was mounted on the Firewall. And the integras is mounted on the intake-manifold (switch a couple wires and a plug). Im not sure if the GSR's are the same... but its a thought.

well what i was thinking of doing so i can use my stock harness is use the b18 injectors and altenator and anything else i could think of that plugs directly to the harness becuz that would make a big difference as far as switching the motor to obd1..
the whole interior is black but it is the cloth. the whole car is black may be keeping the stock wheels as well. may have some ls wheels avail though.

no good i will buy it from u not trading the wheels though.. sorry dude i can try to look for some blades for u here. i usually get them from 200= 250 round here.
Here is the gsr that i am getting my motor from that was hit on the front end.. damage is not extensive only problem i see is the radiator support and ac condensor.

im going to swap out the intake manifold and the tranny 2nd gear barely grinds.. i have another gsr tranny to put on it.
was wondering to convert to obd1 can i use the injectors and dizzy from my ls motor that i have laying around the house. and a obd1 gsr ecu when i find someone who wants to give one up for me..lol thanks for any info will post more pics along the way im taking the disc brakes front and rear and puting them on my cx as well..

I have a 96 obd-2 usdm b18c1 motor in my 92 si hatch. It also has a skunk2 manifold as well. Just use a chipped p28. Don't grab a p72 unless you're going to chip it and even that, its still more expensive than getting a p28. Since you will not need to hook up your knock sensor or iacv sensor because of the skunk2 mani. That's how my car was wired up. But then i have the advantage of having vtec already wired.
o yea and the money i had to spend ont he motor ha.. this is always.. cute. this was my xmas present from my lil bro..

for the complete engine bay and the suspension, and i can pretty much have anything else i want on it but there is not much that i want.. maybe just get rid of some of the same ****. how much did u sell urs for..

I noticed you mentioned that you got the suspension from the teg as well, just wondering if you are going to change the brake proportioning valve, because if you are, it is a bitch to swap them out with the engine in, I did this way and it sucked. It would've been so much easier if I had thought of it before I swapped mine....just a thought
I do have the p28 with skunk2 intake manifold and i have the chipped with the skunk 2 chip.. got delayed yesterday so didnt get to complete the swap.. yet. i have the motor in i have pics i was in a rush this morning on the way to work.. and left my camera phone in my car.. i will get it here in a while and post a couple more pics.. with the engine in and the empty teg..
thanks for the information on the prop valve but its too late cuz the engine is in. my roomate the big dude with the boxers showing is a mechanic, and im pretty good with this **** i think he has done it before so we should be ok. I hope.
What i ended up doing was using my stock civic wiring harness i changed the fuel rail injectors and the internals of the distributor becuz my ls distributor does not have the same bolt pattern. o yea and the alternator.. was swapped with an obd1 the plugs are different on that one. i didnt connect the exhaust and it ran pretty dam smooth with my ls ecu in there .. just for the test start going to try and connect everything else up tonight and get this bitch on the road..
still have the obd2 ecu, engine harness and altenator if anyone wants one.
i dont get to keep the dc header so im in need of one..

ha look at my faded racing number in the window been there since my last motor blew.. probably going to put my si rims on this one so i dont **** anything up with the 17's
