Sway Bar: Will Lightspeed 28mm sway bark snap off the brackets?
Im debating wheter to keep the sway bar of sell it because im wondienr if the THICK bar will ripp off the brackets like everyone says... What could i upgrade so that woudln't happen? will i feel a huge differnece with the sway bar? is it a difficult instalattoin?
In keeping with common sense-Neuspeed discontinued their 27mm bar for the 4th gen Prelude because of this specific problem. THey also stopped supplying race teams with the heavy bar for the 5th gen-same reason. Seems that you need more than to just bolt up the heavy brackets-the subframe needs to be reinforced as well.
I would go with a 25mm bar without hesitation if the mounting points are truly solid. You will find that cornering is more precise versus stock, mainly if you use poly bushings.

I just got a Progress 27mm bar and it came with these thick-*** brackets. Hopefully they will hold.....*crosses fingers*
