Help me decide on tires.
Well I recently got some 2000 Integra LS mesh wheels (15x6) for my civic.
The tires on there are good all season directional tires, but they are too big.
They are 195/60r/15s and are really a 205 width.
Anyway, the 60 is way too tall and looks bad and rubs.
I want to run a 50 series profile or less.
So, what tire should I get? Oh yeah, I don't really want to get azenis, because Iv'e already had them and want something different. They are at least 2 lbs heavier than most tires too.
I really like how these tires look.

Proxes T1s.
they come in a lot of sizes. Id like to get a 215/45/15 but anyone think the profile is too small?
I also like the proxes 4. They are cheaper and last longer.
Is a 225 too wide?
or should I just run a 205 width, are 215.

if your running a 15inch wheel on a teg, the tires should be 205/50, or 195/55
im sure the 215/ 45 would be alright, i dunno if they r too big for the wheels though, they are pretty narrow,
and what r u talking about a 195 really being 205... and 205 really being 215

205/50/15 Kumho 712s. I've had them on all my cars for daily tires and they're great for wet, rain, dry and race. They're dirt cheap from http://www.tirerack.com . If you don't feel like paying shipping, print the page off and have discount tire match their price.

the tire is actually wider than a 195. Its about an inch wider than my 195 azenis

I have 205/50/15 Toyo Proxes 4 on my hatch. I like them and they have a nice tread pattern. Its a quiet tire too, you dont hear too much of the road. If you have a hatch, the 215's wont fit on the rear cuz it will rub. You would have to get wheel spacers.
I would run a 205/50 size tire. I like ES100, good tire or the Dunlop FM901.
The Toyo Proxes T1S are good tires too. Basically looking at price at the end. Also tire wear.

Great tire. Same design and great in cold, wet, or dry weather.

Well, if the tire says 195, there is no chance in hell that tire is wider than 195.
My guess is since its a 60 aspect ratio on too narrow of a rim it just buldges out and makes it seem wider.

i LOVE my parada spec-2's. The tread life on them is great along with the performance. I have about 8-10,000 miles on them and they barely show any wear at all

great reason to buy a tire
215's need a minimum 7" rim width. do you need a all season? or a dedicated summer tire?
all season: Falken Ziex 512
summer: yoko es100
sticky, quick wearing summer: azenis sport
either in 205/50-15

in the UK, the only 3 sizes run on civics (by normal sane ppl) are eithr 195/50/15, 205/45/16 or 205/40/17.
i (not being sane) run 185/60/14 and change to 205/40/17 for show off time. The only difference with a lower profile is ride quality. it'll handle well, but you'll feel every change in the tarmac.
a 60 profile is way to much for a 15" rim, 215/45/15 would not be much better, go for either a 195/50 or a 205/45
