Default How long has everyone owned their prelude?

I'm just wondering, this Prelude is my first car, and now that I have the cash I'm debating whether I should spend a little money to modify it and only keep it a couple years then get a newer car, or if I should just go all out with it and keep it a while longer. How long have you guys owned your Preludes?

Either way I go the car won't stay stock for long , I can never leave things as they are

If you love the car you'll keep it no matter what. I've had mine for about 4 yrs now and if it was any other car it would have been gone along time ago. Everything that goes wrong (which has been quite a bit, mostly my fault), I learn how to fix it myself and then I want to keep the car that much more...

I have had my current prelude about 3 years now, but i have owned 3 different ludes (92,98,97). This will be the last one that i own. Just keeping it till school is done. I would say if you owe nothing on the car keep it because car payments suck.

About 3 years now I would like to keep it till the wheels fall off of it, or until it gets stolen

almost 3 years and I am gonna get rid of it finally. I love the car but its not fast enough nor is it big enough.

Not to mention I hate being stereotyped all the time for driving a honda.

Yeah, it does suck, especially getting riced at just driving around all the time. I honestly think every Civic or Integra with clear taillights, a fart can muffler (on a stock exhaust) and a spoiler in my town has revved their engine at me at least once.

Also, Lude975, as of tommorow when I deposit the paycheck I get today the car will be payed off completely, and the fun can begin.

I was going to get a s2k, but deiced not too because for the money, I would buy the s2000 with, I could put in the Prelude and make it nicer and a faster car. I love the 5th gen Preludes exterior IMO its one of the Cleanest cars Honda has made to this day.

Ive owned my Prelude for almost 2 years now and I still love it. Maybe in a few years I'll be able to get a k20a swap for a decent price. Im keeping the Prelude for as long as possible.

"I love my Honda like I love my ganja" Ha Ha. Seriously though. It's not the fastest, but I love the damn thing. I'll keep it for a while. A good while. Mines a 92 and I would love to see collectors plates on it someday! LOL.
