Omnipower coilovers test ride...
Ive been researching and brought down my 2 options to omnipower sports and tiens ss. Anyway, i just wanted to ask if anyone from the San Diego area will be willing to let me ride with them or drive thier car with omni's. Ill give them a full tank of gas in return.
thanks

Sounds like a good deal, all the man wants to do is see how a certain suspension setup rides before he buys, which WE SHOULD DO FOR FREE... but he's offering to fill your gas tank for you in return, nothing sounds funny to me.

similar? it's likely....but you have to realize how different the two could really be due to valving differences. i don't know the specs regarding valving on the 2 setups so i can't comment with experience, just throwing it out there that it will have a large effect on "feel".

There is no way Tein Basics are running 10k/8k. It is MUCH lower than that.
The omni's are actually kind of bouncy. i had a set in my EG hatch, and they werent like bouncy like a set of ebay coilovers on stock shocks, but honestly, I think they are a bit overrated.
WHen I bought them I was so stoked to put them in. They looked awesome, and are constructed very well. The ride is stiff/bouncy, but handled well.
I have a set of Tein SS's on my 01 GSR, and they ride WAAAAY better. Plus the adjustability of the shock damper is much more noticable.
Im just speaking from experience.

i have the kyb agx. ive kept it on the same setting cept for long driving i put it on all soft... so i dont think im too picky on adjustability.

Did you get the street or sports for your EG? Bouncy as in.. you feel every groove and bump on the freeway/road type of thing?

Omnipowers are much much stiffer then the SSs.....omni = too stiff for me. This probably isnt helping you get a ride though.
my Question is .Do u want stiff ride? or Soft ride?
omni is stiffer than every springs out there..and most coilovers..like ground control and skunk2 tein ss, H&R cup, ect...
