Got a smog check and when they did the gas cap test I guess the guy didn't put the gas cap back on secure enough. So after that the check engine light went on. The techs at the acure dealer ship told me that I should just leave it alone and it'll go off in a couple of days. What should I do it's getting real annoying.

 

1 Remove gas cap
2 Hop on one leg
3 Put gas cap back on
4 Pop hood
5 Disconnect battery
6 Hop on both legs
7 Reconnect battery
8 Start car

 

ahh man I got step 2 wrong, I hopped on both legs. What will I do now ( while feaverishly pulling wodds of hair out of the side of my head). Thanks man, I was thinking of doing that but the tech said it wouldn't work.

 

or you can just wait like 3 days or so and the cel will go away on its own
