Default OT: Not quite the same anymore...

This morning i woke up and got ready for work and did the usual morning routine.

Walked to the car to leave for work and i stopped and just stared for a moment and looked the car over from a distance.

And finally it hit me...

I remember when i had my GSR and i was looking for over a year for the Type R and everytime i would go to look at one...seeing the Type R pull up or watch it stare at me as i pulled into a strangers driveway, would just send chills down my spine.

There was nothing i wanted more than a PY 2001 ITR. The feeling i had when i first drove it, the feeling i got everytime i saw one before i owned one...

i cant even explain it

and what i came to realize this morning was...ive lost that feeling...

Everyday when i walk out to my car, i see the beauty, i feel the power when i drive it, so on and so forth...but i dont have that seem feeling that i use to get.
I would kill to feel that way about this car again

i remember going to pick her up #198 from DEV and i got to his house and just got out of my car and stared at the ITR as if it was a god damn ferrari or something

the drive home, the feeling i got at every red light, anytime someone looked at me in the car, hittin VTEC the first few times on the highway....

sorry im rambling on and on, but maybe some of you have the same lost feelings

it was such an unexplainable feeling...and i miss it

hopefully it's just the winter weather and big gawky snow tires gettin me down...
time will tell

but on a better note HAPPY NEW YEARS TO EVERYONE!

I hear ya man, but unfortunatley instead of me having those feelings it's quite different. I look at my car and I wonder if people are planning to steal it, how lucky I am for having one because it not stolen yet and on and on. you know it's a bitch when the Acura parts clerk is shocked you still own your car due to so many thefts.

TaKe it to the track, maybe even the expo, and I'm sure you'll get that feeling back.

i know how you guys feel about the feeling of getting a new itr. i remember when i was lookin at a blue gsr, and then i heard about the itr and i wanted one so bad.
luckily i was able to get a fbp r.but i always wanted py....had the car almost a year and for about 4 months they had a py in the showroom, i would look at it while they changed my oil. thats what i really wanted to begin with. the funny thing is i use to cut out pics from mags, and put them on my wall, not even knowing the were all cw itr's..........the only thing that makes me lose that ""feeling is its a money pit i mean check my sig ive been waiting 4 yrs""

anyways sometimes i just like to look at it for a good 20 min and, say wow this is mine. i love it

Go drive someone's econobox for a week and then hop back into the Type R, then tell us if you missed it or not.

It's call humanity satisfaction. Often we take things for granted.

You should think for a moment and think about how lucky you are compare to all other LS, GSR owners and have dreaming about owning a Type R one day.

Then you will be happier and cheerish what you have.

I drive mine maybe once a week. Drove the company vehicle or my blazer during the week while I was in the states. Usually take the wifes Si when we go some where, so I still get a mild dose of vtec.

My same thoughts exactly. When I traded my Si for the R, I was like damn I have a Type R. Now, I look at it as an ordinarily car that is yellow and gets stares here and there. I had fun with it, now comes the process of deciding what my next car or SUV will be. Cant change the past, can always look to the future and what it brings. If I do decide to sell it, I will post a for sale link on here.
