Default Just a little bit of something non-Honda (Large Pics Zone)

Just feel like showing off something that isn't a ramhorn. These were all taken the at the end of a 12 hour build sprint in the shop a couple days before Christmas.

No, it's not a Honda, it's not even streetable in fact, but enjoy the pics anyways. More to come as the build progresses.

Lining up the torch...

Post Flow

After a hard day's work. Everything you see before the firewall was done in 1 weekend by 3 guys. 90% of the welds were done by me, as was about 20% of the tube fitment. None of the firewall welds were done by me, just tube fitment. The jigs were done by Marc and D, and the suspension point milling was done by Marc.

The basic idea... It was 3 in the morning, don't mind the hard hat.

And what it will sorta kinda look like after all is said and done, only faster...

Enjoy, all comments and questions are welcome, even the bad ones.

Yes, Auburn, and No. I'm Aviation. D (The hard hat Pirate) is ME, though. Also the team captain. I'm the only non-engineering guy on the team.

cool, im trying to transfer for junior year to va tech, and get into the sae programs, especially the mini F1 car. but im attempting the ME route. aviation sounds interesting though. my uncle has his BS in ME and masters in aeronautical engr. does stresses and loads and crap for his own company.

Your frame looks like my schools frame, except we have our suspension on

I'm not on the baja team, only the formula car team

Yeah, we kinda got hammered on when a couple of designer's left, and most of the new guys. Not enough free time.

It's basically just Me, D, Marc these days.

We're hoping to finish the frame before school starts back up, because after that it's going to be tight. Marc's in his senior year as Aerospace Eng., doing his own senior design project, and I co-op full time.

I wish you luck with that, we have a 3 month construction schedule.

Hehe, we were usually too tired to go over more than a half case per night. A half case per team member, that is.

This year the Auburn party of choice will be Champaign from the Dayton Cup.
