I have the inserts and can honestly say that I don't notice any additional vibration. I believe this is because it's only the transmission torque mounts that are done and not all the upper engine mounts. For the people that I know that did swaps and installed aftermarket poly engine mounts, they tend to be the ones that experienced the extra vibration.

I installed the es inserts in the motor & tranny mounts all around in my EG & I do notice more vibration at idle, but it's not as bad as people say that it is.

oh yeah! if you only change 1 out of 5 then there next to no vibration, but if i change en insert then i would change the torque mounts.

I added the inserts to all of them

EDIT: but I have a SOHC if that makes a difference....

The Energy Suspension mount inserts I got only came for the 3 lower torque mounts. I never saw any available for the other engine mounts, but you say you got some for yours? what brand were they?

You're right on the ES for the 3 lower. My GF's dad installed them when I was on vacation earlier this year. I'll ask him and get back to you.

How could they be different if they are both Civics using the same engine and transmission configuration?

I have 2 of the 3 (haven't put the rear mount in yet) on my EK hatch and I do notice more interior vibrations. I don't know if I even want to put in the last one.

es doesnt have a kit specifically for the dohc i called them and they said theyre not sure if it would work. im trying to search to see if prothane has one.

and for all the comments about vibration. i know it vibrates ive had them on many cars before. that was not my question.

thanks

I put in full suspension bushing kit into a hatch, it was one of those black bushing series not the harder red stuff. Didn't notice no vibration, the only new bushings I didn't have on that car were engine mounts (which obviously cause vibration), car just felt hell out of nicer and solid.
