you should not be taking your car up that high inthe rpm's with out an exhaust.unless you have $$ to get you valves adjusted on a regular basis.

i have had it open header for 6 months, no problem, just recently looked at the head, it fine, i have a mid section on it, but its all open

yeah it sounds good but it will happen and you will have bad valves. it's that back pressure that helps. Maybe you can do it on race day or when ever but i would not do it for as long as you have. unless you have the money.

my friend had to run open header for a week and damn did his car smell like exhuast gases like hell, how do you drive around like that for months, plus open header = cop magnet

i did it for a day and trust me unless you have a turbo its really killing perfromance.

vtec kicks in at 6000rpm? is everything stock? like they said, you can't go on without the header like that.

I remember when i crashed the Si we took off the exhaust. Loud as fk. Sounded identical to yours..

Yeah I use to have an eg with a gsr swap with just the mid pipe and sounded just like yours. I loved it but after awhile the noise and smell just got to me so I throw on a factory exhaust. Really miss that sound though

i'm running a gsr ecu redline at 9k and the check engine is for the o2, but it runs great, pulled a 14.49 open header all stock motor, still runs great since i swapped the motor. i have had the motor for 3 years now, and still have a blast.
