Default Help, my R is eating oil!

I'm losing oil at the rate of about 1 liter/month and I know for a fact it's not leaking anywhere. No drops where I park in the garage and I even got it on a hoist to look underneath and there are no signs of a leak.
What bugs me is that I'm not even driving it hard, never raced and only occasionaly take it all the way to redline.
My car has 96000km or approx 60000 miles and has never missed any servicing.

Anybody have an idea of what might be happening, I had a friend suggest I take it in for a compression test.

I thinks this is more common with the B18C5.
I check my oil every 1-2 weeks and I NEVER had to add any. It stays near on top and I change ever 3-3.5k miles.

Check your PCV Valve. A couple of weeks ago someone wrote in about excessive oil consumption and it was due to a defective PCV valve. Once replaced the oil consumption quit.

Also note, oil consumption to some degree is a fact of life with the B18C5. I go through at least 1 qt / 3K miles and have been told its normal by many people.
