Help me choose a drag cam
I know the thought of JUN3 just screams attention...
...but how good are JUN3s for a daily driven car? My bottom end is built...but revving to 9500 still cant be good, and must be way more stress then revving to 8500.
If I pick a cam that would make peak around 8100 or so and shift at 8500, my gearing would look like this:
1st N/A
2nd 5000
3rd 6084
4th 6462
5th 6470
So I would basically need something that makes its power from about 5500+.
The other choice Im seriously considering is the Skunk2 cams, I hear those have good topend and peak below 8500.
The goal is *at least* 200 HP/150 TQ.

I have 500+hp and TypeR cams have been doing the trick just fine.... Stock idle , power up to 8500-9000 is attainable with these cams. I would highly suggest R cams.. This is based on experience and driving the car 100miles everyday of the week..

I guess JUN3s dont HAVE to be revved to 9500...but to get the most out of them then its a must.

JUN 2 intake / JUN 3 exhaust-- Jun 2's have the same lift as the 3's but more duration...

Hey Val, I'd go w/ 1st gen B16A auto trans. camshafts. They give awesome top end power. They make 2-3 more hp than Toda Spec A cams all throughout the power band.
