Halo Projector Black Headlights.
I got Halo Projector Black Headlights for christmas. If you dont have any I strongly reccomend getting them! They are very nice and very clear to see the road ahead. One problem though I am having. If you are facing the car The light on the left is not working all the time. Not the main lights the high beams and the low beams work perfectly. Its just the halo that is haveing problems. My Hazard lights are wired to my alarm system. I wired my Projectors to the hazard lights also when I installed them a few days ago. Sometimes they work if I pop the hood and mess around with the plugs and sometimes they just dont work. Anyone have any suggestions?

hey, I had the same problem with my halo on that side too. I just left it alone and it came back on. Did you have everything put back on when you tried it? After I put my bumper and everything else back on, it came on after that.
I had problems with seeing out of mine. I couldn't get them aimed high enough for some reason, and it has a distinct cut off.

How does a different projector affect light output? Or is it to fit the hid's?

Yes, I don't really understand when I wired my halos to the hazard lights so they would come on when I hit the alarm 5-series style. They keep going off the left one is always on but sometimes when I start the car the right ones stays off for a few min then eventually comes on! I HAVE NO IDEA!

What do you mean? This same projector is used in all those cars. I got these because HID in the stock halogen projectors sucks. These are made for use w/ HID (obviously) and so obviously the beam pattern is much wider, longer, more defined, etc etc.

So basically, if I wanted to do a HID conversion on my car, I would need something like these.

I would need to take to old projectors out of the housing and then place these ones in it's place? So, thisis what a retro fit is then?

damn dude, you painted the whole high beam reflector and everything? You just rendered them useless. You're only supposed to paint the bezel (part that screws into the back of the lens).

basically yea...thats all you would need plus a couple misc. pieces here and there. not sure how much that one will sell for but you can always piece on together.

thats the idea....now just make sure u take some measurements and such to make sure whatever projectors you buy will fit in your headlight housing. Modification almost is always required, so...don't be scared to cut, grind, slice, whatever. A dremel is gonna be your savior.

I guessing your headlights have either a sealed glass housing or "textured" plastic lens. Either way, ur car is actually a pretty good candidate for a retrofit. "HIDS" won't perform at its "greatest" when it is behind one of these type of headlights. What i would do is search for "Lexan" particularly "MR-10". That lexan is clear and scratch resistant if im not mistaken. Basically you would cut up the front of your original lights and replace the front lens with the lexan. Do a search on this on some hid forums, there's alot of good info on this and what i just told you is just the jist of it.......
